Reunion Announcement

After years of bitter feuding, the Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, have finally put aside their differences and announced an Oasis reunion tour for the summer of 2025. This highly anticipated event marks the end of a 15-year hiatus for the iconic British band, leaving fans around the world ecstatic at the prospect of witnessing the Oasis magic once again.

The band has described the reunion as “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see.” This will be the first time the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, have performed together since Oasis’ acrimonious split in 2009.

Venues and Dates

The 2025 Tour will span across the United Kingdom and Ireland, with 14 shows scheduled. The tour will kick off on July 4th at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, followed by four dates each at Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium. Additional stops include Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Croke Park in Dublin.

Ticket Sales and Demand

Tickets for the Oasis reunion tour went on sale on August 31, 2024, with a presale starting the day prior. Demand for tickets has been extremely high, with fans reporting long queues and tickets selling out within minutes on sites like Ticketmaster

With only 14 date shows and the immense popularity of Oasis, ticket demand is incredibly high. Fans should be prepared to act quickly when tickets go on sale, as they are likely to sell out rapidly.

The high demand has also led to issues with “dynamic pricing”, where ticket prices have increased significantly above the initial advertised prices due to the volume of buyers. This has sparked outrage among fans, with some tickets costing over £350, up from the original £135 price point.

Oasis has announced two additional Wembley Stadium shows on September 27-28, 2025. However, these new dates will use a different ticketing process – a staggered, invitation-only ballot system that will prioritize fans who were unsuccessful in the initial on-sale.

Reunion Expectations and Concerns

The Oasis reunion has generated a mix of excitement and trepidation among fans. Many are afraid at the prospect of seeing the Gallagher brothers share a stage again after over a decade. However, the band’s famously volatile relationship has some concerns about whether the reunion will be short-lived.

Additionally, the issues around ticket sales and pricing have dampened the enthusiasm of some fans. They feel exploited by dynamic pricing and ticket resellers. There are calls for the government and regulators to address these practices in the live music industry.

Overall, the Oasis reunion tour in 2025 is shaping up as highly anticipated. But potentially contentious event for the band’s devoted fanbase. The demand for tickets will be the key factor in determining the success and longevity of the reunion.
